Mission: Astronaut Suit
For my Social Studies assignment, I had to dress up using recycled materials. I talked to my dad and planned what to make. We looked at photos and decided to make an Astronaut suit.
We took cardboard from the recycling bin to make the oxygen tank. I saw a sofa there!
My Dad drank two bottles of tea and we used that to make the rocket engine.
And I used felt as fire, paper as badges, and an old white shirt and white pants for the suit.
To make the oxygen tank, I painted it white.
Then I painted the NASA logo.
Finally I cut badges out and pasted them on the oxygen tanks.
To make the rockets, I painted the bottles blue. then I cut out the felt for the fire. Lastly I pasted it on the oxygen tank when it dried out.
I took the suit and pasted badges like the Singapore flag and space mission badges.
In school, when I was taking out my costume, everyone just crowded around me casting curious glances. During the competition, everyone voted for me and I came in first!
I was happy that I was first.
See you again!

The Astronaut suit looks amazing. I see you have worked really hard to make it look so good out of recycle items...very well done Toshan. It deserves the first prize.
